PBEmail 2006 ActiveX Edition Component

Why is this better?  Minimize
As you have seen, we have included many of the implementation of some features in PBEmail ActiveX Edition. Here you will find out the benefits of this decision.

Included SSL/TLS and S/MIME:
PBEmail includes SSL/TLS protocols implementation, as well as all the S/MIME sign, encrypt, and managing algorithms. This makes it independent of OpenSSL and CryptoAPI. This is better because:
  • CryptoAPI is the Microsoft cryptography API, included in some Internet Explorers. The included algorithms in this API depends of the user Windows version, meaning that some users may be unable to use some algorithms, because they are not included in their version, and if a bug is found in this API, you will have to contact Microsoft directly to have a fix.
  • OpenSSL is an open source project, witch implements this protocols. This library is currently under development and many versions are in the internet that includes some bugs. It's also hard to get a quick fix of a bug found.
PBEmail includes this implementations. This assures you quick bug fixes, complete control on the library, and better compatibility with all computers, even with Windows 95C. This also assures you that you will not need to distribute any extra libraries.

Included XML Parser:
PBEmail also includes his own XML parser. This makes it independent from the Microsoft XML Parser library. This will make able to run PBEmail in computers where MSXML is not installed without any problems. It also assures you that the XML Parser will work as expected in any computer.
